Wileta M. Tieszen
Wileta M. Tieszen, longtime resident of Wichita, died Friday
(July 24, 2009) at the Glenwood House in Wellington at the age of 82.
Wileta was born on Sept. 27, 1926, in rural Hesston, the
daughter of David and Mary (Bileau) Voran. They preceded her in death.
On June 10, 1951, Wileta and Walter Eugene Tieszen were
united in marriage at Tabor Mennonite Church in Newton. Together, they
celebrated more than 47 years of marriage. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Galen Tieszen and his wife,
Nancy, of Wellington, Lowell Tieszen and his wife, Sharyn, of Durham, N.C., and
Delbert Tieszen and his wife, Patricia, of Hesston; son-in-law, Dale Blaine of
Haysville; eight grandchildren; and brother, Melvin Voran and his wife,
Marilyn, of Goshen, Ind.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Blaine.
Funeral services for Wileta were today at Lorraine Avenue
Mennonite Church in Wichita.
Interment followed at Lorraine Avenue Cemetery in Wichita.
