Melba Wilks, 78, of Guthrie, OK (formerly of Broken Bow) passed away July 28, 2014 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, OK.
She was born February 3, 1936 in Broken Bow, OK the daughter of Leroy and Lois V. (Simpson) Strout. Melba enjoyed watching old western movies, WWF wrestling, and working puzzles.
Melba leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters and one brother, Judy Cashman and husband, Bennie, of Kansas City, KS; Roy Gene Strout and wife, Judy, of Guthrie, OK; and Linda Saupp and husband Mike, of Colleyville, TX; one sister, Kathern Schindler and husband, Steve; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Strout, mother, Lois Strout, brothers, Edward Lee and Lymon Strout, sisters, Betty Klassen, Della Cleous, and Carolyn Smith.
A celebration of life service will be held at the graveside at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Denison Cemetery, Idabel, OK. Dr. Bennie Cashman will officiate. The McCurtain News. July 29, 2014.
