Martin S. Klassen, 84, of Newton, died February 29, 1988, at Newton Medical Center - Bethel.
Born June 3, 1903, at Hillsboro, he was retired after 31 years with the Newton Street Department. He was a resident of Newton most of his life, moving from Hutchinson. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Newton.
Survivors: sons, Delbert, Phoenix, Ariz., Lloyd & Daryl, both of Wichita; daughters, Beverly Ostrowski, Lewisville, Texas, Betty Lou Duncan, Tulsa, Okla; brother, Pete Klassen, Springfield, Mo.; sister, Eva Nickel, Newton; 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today (March 2, 1988) at First Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Michael Edwards. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
