Phil L. Richard
Phil L. Richard, 56, passed away Sunday (June 7, 2009) at
Newton Medical Center in Newton.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1952, in Orrville, Ohio, to Elmer J.
and Eunice M. (Amstutz) Richard.
He married Sandra McLaughlin on Oct. 23, 1999, in Akron,
Penn. She survives of Hesston.
He was the director of communications at Hesston College in
Hesston. He was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church.
Other survivors include brothers and sisters, Sidney and
Sandi Richard of Goshen, Ind., Kristina and Steve Gerber of Creston, Ohio, and
Kent and Rita Richard of Talmage, Penn.; and father, Elmer J. Richard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice M. Richard.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hesston
Mennonite Church. Viewing will be possible this evening only.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church,
with Pastor John Murray and Pastor Cheryl Hershberger officiating.
Burial will be in Ohio at a later date.
