Ron Bachman
Obituary
Ron Bachman, 63, passed into eternal
life and rest with his Heavenly Father Tuesday (Feb. 13, 2018).
Ron was born July 17, 1954, in Topeka
to Donovan and Helen (Goertzen) Bachman.
He graduated in 1972 from Hesston High
School. He then attended Climate Control Institute, earning a
certificate in HVAC and began his career in HVAC and plumbing in
Hesston with Reimer Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. In the
fall of 1990, he purchased the business from Leroy Reimer and soon it
became Bachman Plumbing and Heating. Ron provided services to Hesston
and the surrounding communities with a servant's heart and a passion
for people, taking care of his customers as if they were his family.
Among Ron's passions were his faith in
God, spending quality time with his grandchildren and family. He
enjoyed jeeping, hiking and fishing in the mountains where God's
creation inspired him.
Ron was preceded in death by his
father, Donovan Bachman.
He is survived by his wife, Karen
(Whitmer) Bachman of Newton; mother, Helen (Goertzen) Bachman of
Hesston; daughters, Amy Birdsell (Derrick) of Hesston and Lisa
Jacobs, (Brad) of Bedford, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his
sister, Mary Dyck, (Bruce) of Exeter, California; brother, Ken
Bachman (Rachel) of Hesston, and grandchildren: Ethan and Tyler
Jacobs and Glen Birdsell.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday (Feb. 17, 2018) at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, 177 W.
Hickory, Hesston. A Celebration of Life will be at 4 p.m. Sunday
(Feb. 18, 2018) at First Mennonite Church, 429 E. 1st St., Newton,
with faspa following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests
memorials to Harvey County Habitat for Humanity in care of Miller-Ott
Funeral Home, Hesston.
