Wanda Jeane Foster Justice
Wanda Jeane Foster Justice, 84, of Topeka, died Sunday (June
21, 2009) at Midland Hospice. She was born on March 12, 1925, in Newton, the
daughter of Edgar C. and B. Berniece (Brown) Foster. She graduated from
Washburn University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.
She taught kindergarten at Hoyt Elementary School. She was a member of Town
& Country Christian Church. Wanda was married to Graham H. Justice on Oct.
21, 1946, in Newton. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2003.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Graham
Justice, in October 1974.
Surviving are daughters:, Cindi Gleason of Kansas City, Mo.,
and Carol Stahlheber of Topeka; grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Mike), Joe
Gleason (Rebecca), Jeffrey Johnston, Jacob Johnston, Sarah Johnston, John
Gleason and Joshua Gleason; and great-grandchildren, Truman Smith, Graham
Justice Gleason and Madison Johnston.
Wanda will lie in state after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel
Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence in Topeka, where the family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Town
& Country Christian Church in Topeka.
Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
