Delbert N. Kuhn
Delbert N. Kuhn, 70, of North Newton, died Sunday (June 28,
2009) at Kansas Christian Home in Newton. He was born on July 29, 1938, in
Goessel to Nathaniel and Velma (Wedel) Kuhn. He was the retired city
superintendent for North Newton. He married Diana Dillman on Feb. 5, 1968, in
Miami, Okla. She survives of North Newton. He was a member and past president
of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He served in the National Guard from 1955 to
1958. Other survivors include sons, Theron and Patti Kuhn of Omaha, Neb., Steve
Kuhn of Goessel, and Delbert R. and Diana Kuhn of Newton; daughters, Delberta
and Mike Plenert of McPherson, Dru Kroeker of Hutchinson, DeEdra Kuhn of
McPherson, and Deanna and Lannie McDonald of Texas; sisters, Louise and Wilbert
Hinrichs of Olpe, and Sandra and Bo Gray of Collinsville, Okla.; 10
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbra Kuhn, and brothers,
Wayne Kuhn in 2008 and Norman Kuhn.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller
Funeral Home in Hesston, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hesston Cemetery in
Hesston, followed by service at 10 a.m. at Kingdom Life Church in Hesston, with
Pastor Scott Miller of the church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Junction or
the Newton Area Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
