Opal W. Moberly
Opal W. Moberly, 97, passed away Friday (May 8, 2009) at
Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born on May 30, 1911, in Wichita to John Henry and
Zillah (Clark) Hale. They preceded her in death.
She married Faye Moberly on April 2, 1932, in Afton, Okla.
He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church in
Newton.
Survivors include daughters, Winifred Cooper of Tulsa,
Okla., and Carolyn Simpson of Hesston; 10 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one brother and three
sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel
Baptist Church, followed by service at 2 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Mike
Ronan officiating.
Burial will be at Hesston Cemetery in Hesston.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Baptist
Church Quilt Ministry or Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Miller Funeral Home
in Hesston, which is in charge of arrangements.
