Harold N. Porter
NEWTON - Harold N. Porter, 69, died May 23, 2009. He was
born Aug. 4, 1939, to Harold Grant and Mildred Leta West Porter.
On Oct. 19, 1958, he married Daintee Bee Higgins in Newton.
She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Suni Barker, Paula Cornelius,
Tammi Fayette, and Kerri Resser and husband Chris, all of Wichita; sisters,
Vinita Routh, Junction, Texas, and Barbara Potter, Edmond, Okla.; eight
grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Hilda Higgins, Walton.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenwood
Cemetery, Newton. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United
Methodist Church, Walton. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. Memorials to the 16th Infantry Association.
