Leandra R. Smithhart
Leandra R. Smithhart, 22, died Friday (April 10, 2009) at
Newton Medical Center.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1986, in Newton to Andra Ray
Smithhart and Isaac Embry. They preceded her in death.
She graduated from Newton schools and attended First
Christian Church in Newton. Leandra enjoyed drawing and writing. She also
looked forward to spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include grandmother, Margaret Smithhart of Newton;
uncles, Mark and Penny Smithhart of Whitewater, and Bill and Maryann Smithhart
of Marion; aunts, Betty Littrell of Weaverville, N.C., and Linda Kingston of
Latham; and numerous cousins.
She also was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lloyd E.
Smithhart.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood
Cemetery in Newton, with Pastor Gary Bell of First Christian Church
officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Smithhart Family
Fund in care of Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, which is in charge of
arrangements.
