Mary Alice Knopf
Mary Alice Knopf, 52, of Newton, died Saturday (April 11,
2009) in Wichita.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1956, in Newton to Walter and Mary
Knopf. They preceded her in death.
Mary Alice was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and
enjoyed movies, bowling and swimming. She liked to help with meal preparations
in the group home that she lived in.
Mary Alice is survived by two brothers, Mark Knopf of Maine
and Michael Knopf of Australia, and a nephew. She was cared for by a good
friend, Natalie Wells.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton, followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m.
at the church.
Committal will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
The memorial suggestion is for St. Mary Catholic School
Building Fund in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
