Arlene D. Daniels
Arlene D. Daniels, 82, died Tuesday (March 3, 2009)
at Newton Medical Center in Newton.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1926, in Rush Springs,
Okla., to Henry and Nora (Dryden) Dorman. She was a homemaker who enjoyed
cooking and sewing. She was a very caring and concerned person who loved her
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Evan M. and Joyce Shelton
of Newton, Earl Ray and Theresa Shelton of Illinois, and Gary Dean Shelton of
Texas; daughters, Sue Ann Fields of Norwich, and Rina D. and James Clay of
Texas; sister, Neta Gowin of Colorado; 20 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; two
daughters; one son; one granddaughter; and husband, Glenn Daniels.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at
Bethesda Nursing Home in Goessel.
Inurnment will be at a later time in Missouri.
Flowers should be sent to Bethesda Nursing Home or
the Hockett residence at 620 Santa Fe in Newton.
Petersen Funeral Home in Newton is in charge of
arrangements.
