Peggy Hanson
Peggy Hanson, 61, of Newton,
died Saturday (Jan. 31, 2009) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born
Feb. 5, 1947, in Hays to Emory Harmon and Lottie Leontine (Curtis) Lackey. They
preceded her in death. She was an avid member of Weight Watchers and enjoyed playing
the piano. She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Newton.
Survivors include her husband, Darrel Ray Hanson of Newton; daughter, Kim and
Jason Dispensa of Newton; brothers, Mike and Evelin Lackey of Lincoln, Neb.,
and Pat and Mary Lackey of Pikesville, Md.; sister, Tammy and Bill Stewart of
Lewisville, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Friday at St. Luke Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Paul Wissink of the
church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
