Lois Mae Miller
Lois Mae Miller, 83, passed
away Friday (Jan. 9, 2009) at Newton Medical Center. She was born Dec. 12,
1925, to Isaac and Maggie (Plank) Yoder in Cass County, Mo. On March 9, 1947,
she married Dale Miller at Newton. She was a co-owner of Miller Produce and was
supportive of the Florence Ambulance Service for nearly 40 years. She was an
avid bowler and traveled out of state to national tournaments. She was preceded
in death by her parents and siblings, Sherman Yoder and Gertrude Lee.
She is survived by her
husband, Dale, of Florence; her children, Robert (Lynnetta) Miller of Dewey,
Okla., Lynne Depler of Topeka, Tony (Pat) Miller of Oklahoma City, Sonya
Schambron (Peggy Waniska) of Topeka, and Tina Miller of Wichita; her brother
Will Yoder of Lincoln, Neb; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family will
be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence.
Funeral service will be at
10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Florence Christian Church, with the Rev. Peter Banning
officiating.
Interment will be in
Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.
A memorial fund has been
established for the church.
