Erma Kennedy
Erma Kennedy, 100, formerly of El Dorado, died
Sunday (Dec. 7, 2008) at Asbury Park Care Center in Newton.
Erma was born on Sept. 21, 1908, in Elbing, the
daughter of Frank and Emma (Eberhard) Knust.
She attended El Dorado schools, graduating with the
class of 1926. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member
of the Women Circle of the Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage to Maxson H. Kennedy on
March 2, 1949, in El Dorado.
Survivors include her son, David Kennedy of Towanda;
daughte,r Cheryl Williams of Newton; sister, Lucille Geymann of Ragley, La.;
sister-in-law, Mildred Auer of Newton; stepsons, Robert Kennedy of Great Bend
and Richard Kennedy of Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughter, Sylvia Danforth of
Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Marci (Doug) Brenneman, Marc (Kari)
Williams, Karson (Chrissy) Kennedy and Kasi (Dan) Mitchell; eight
great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday
at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Memorials have been established with First United
Methodist Church in El Dorado and the Asbury Park Greenhouse 1202 in Newton.
