Betty Lucille Yacko
Betty Lucille Yacko, 85, went home to her Heavenly
Father on Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2008) in Wichita.
Betty was born on Aug. 2, 1923, in Newton to
Clarence and Mary Woods. They preceded her in death.
Betty was an active member of First Christian Church
and served as the activity director for Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
She loved her family and enjoyed reading, sewing and
crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Yacko of
Wichita; two sons, Mikall and James Ryan, both of Wichita; and brothers, Harold
Woods of Franktown, Colo., and Kenneth Woods of Texas.
She also was preceded in death a daughter, Paula
Yacko; a brother, Robert Woods; a sister, Rose Woods; and an infant sister.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First
Christian Church in Newton.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Legacy of
John at Kansas Christian Home in care of Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, which
is in charge of arrangements.
