Laurine Schafer
Laurine Schafer, 87, died Friday (Dec. 12, 2008) at
Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
She was born on Nov. 17, 1921, in Durham to Jacob
and Christina (Miller) Schafer.
She was a federal government clerk.
She is survived by a sister, Helen Schafer of
Newton.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister,
Miranda Mae Schafer.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday at Jost
Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Chaplain Denny Bell officiating. Burial will be
at Durham Park Cemetery in rural Durham.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association.
