Hilda Schroeder Evans
ENGLEWOOD, Fla. -- Hilda Schroeder Evans, 77, of Englewood, Fla., former Newton resident, died Saturday (Aug. 26, 2000).
She was a 1941 graduate of Newton High School. She was a retired bank officer in Three Rivers, Mich., and was active in music circles as a vocalist.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul Evans of Englewood, Fla.; two sons, John Evans of Hereford, Ariz., and Tom Evans of Vicksburg, Mich.; one brother, Arlo Schroeder of Valley Center; one sister, Martha McCloud of Marion; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sarah Schroeder; three brothers, Pete Schroeder, Menno Schroeder and Leonard Schroeder; and two sisters, Augusta Penner and Frieda Franz.
Funeral services will be at Three Rivers, Mich.
