Myrtle E. Warner
Myrtle E. Warner, 101, died
Wednesday (Oct. 29, 2008) in Newton. She was born June 18, 1907, in rural
Selden, to Edward and Ellen C. Anderson. They preceded her in death. She grew
up in the Selden area and attended country schools near Selden and Oberlin. She
married Walter Rogers in 1924. He preceded her in death. In 1947, she married
Jess Warner. He preceded her in death. She lived in Selden; Pueblo, Colo.;
Lawrence; Kansas City, Mo.; Osceloa, Mo.; and Oberlin. She was an engraver for
a printing company.
She was a member of Lund
Church, Trost Avenue United Methodist Church and Osceloa Community Church.
She also was preceded in
death by four brothers, Edwin 'Cap,' Hugo, Herb and Joe Anderson; and three
sisters, Arvida Wenger, Florence Wenger and Goldie Anderson.
Survivors include her son,
Gerald Rogers and wife, Lenona, of Newton; five grandchildren; and 12
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to
8 p.m. Sunday, with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin,
as well as from 8 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
Services will be at 10:30
a.m. Monday at Oberlin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Doug Hasty
officiating. Interment will be in Lund Cemetery in rural Oberlin.

Lund Cemetery.
