C. Keith Miller
HESSTON – C. Keith Miller, 70, died
Tuesday (Dec. 31, 1996) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1926 in Hesston to
Oliver and Nina Rodgers Miller. He married Helen Bontrager on June
11, 1949, in Iowa City, Iowa. She survives.
He was a hog farmer for 20 years and
had also been employed at Excel Industries in Hesston, the Newton
Elevator, the Hesston Mill and had been employed as a baker at The
Bread Basket in Newton before his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of the Whitestone
Mennonite Church in Hesston and was a member in the Mennonite Men's
Chorus for many years.
Other survivors include two sons,
Douglas of Ephrata, Wash.; Lowell of Newton; one daughter Janine
Yoder of Goshen, Ind.; two brothers, Milton of Hesston and Cecil of
Othello, Wash.; five grandchildren, one-great-grandchild; two
step-children. One sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at
10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Wallace Jantz and the Rev. Louise
Wideman officiating. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call the Miller Funeral Home in Hesston Friday from 1 to
9 p. m.
A memorial has been established for the
Organ Fund of the Whitestone Mennonite Church.
