Treva Ann Propst
Treva Ann Propst, 73, retired
CNA/CMA, died Friday (Nov. 14, 2008) at Newton Medical Center in Newton. A
resident of Halstead for two years, she was formerly a 33-year resident of
Plevna. She was born June 25, 1935, in Willow Springs, Mo., to Deral E. Sr. and
Wilma Beth (Rowlett) McKee. On Feb. 3, 1950, she married Marvin 'Gerald' Propst
Sr. in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1978. She was a
member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Morganton, N.C.
Survivors include sons,
Marvin 'Jerry' (Sara) Propst of Jasper, Texas, Bobby Propst of Cedar Hill,
Texas, John Propst of Newton, and Deral (Daphne) Propst of Halstead; daughters,
Wilma (Danny) Mueller of Halstead and Treva Cutts of San Diego; sisters, Betty
Spence of Willow Springs, Mary (Harry) Hardinge of Needles, Calif., Myrna
(Bill) Flynn of Azusa, Calif., and Nada McKee of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 15
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
an infant grandson, Gerald Ross Gaston; a brother, Deral McKee Jr.; and an
infant sister, Lockey Jo McKee.
Friends may call from 2 to 8
p.m. Tuesday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
Funeral service will be 1
p.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church in Halstead, with Pastor Cleo Koop
officiating.
Burial will follow at 4 p.m.
at Plevna Cemetery in Plevna.
Memorials may be given to the
Harvey/Marion County Child Advocacy Center in care of the funeral home.
