Weston F. Cox
NEWTON - Weston F. Cox, 93,
died Nov. 23, 2008, at Asbury Park Greenhouses, Newton. He was born April 16,
1915, the son of Virgil and Blanche Fesmire Cox.
On Aug. 19, 1936, he married
Winifred Jones. She preceded him in death. On July 14, 1973, he married Olivene
Thiessen. She precedes him in death. He is survived by: sons, Sheldon and
Eldon; daughter, Lynette (Marion) Farr; eight grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Memorial service will be at
11 a.m. Saturday at Northridge Friends Church, Wichita. Private family burial
has taken place in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton. Memorials may be made to Newton
First Church of the Nazarene or Barclay College in care of Petersen Funeral
Home, Newton.
