Marvin I. Doty
Marvin I. Doty, 84, died
Saturday (Oct. 25, 2008) at Sandpiper Nursing Home in Wichita. He was born on
May 14, 1924, in Newton, the son of Edith A. (Burbridge) and David I. Doty.
They preceded him in death. Marvin enjoyed coffee with his friends in Newton.
Survivors include two brothers, Cecil Doty of Hesston and Melvin Doty of
Hutchinson, and nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by three
sisters, Cora Van Rossun, Wanita Block and Fern Church; and two brothers,
Ernest Doty and Henry Doty.
Graveside services will be at
2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials may be made to the
American Heart Association in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton,
which is in charge of arrangements.
