Kathryn R. Puckett
Kathryn R. Puckett, 93, died
Wednesday (Oct. 29, 2008) at Asbury Park Healthcare in Newton. She was born
Oct. 22, 1915, in Syracuse to Rola and Sidnie (Watkins) Browning. They preceded
her in death. On June 11, 1931, she married Jess Puckett. He preceded her in death
in March of 1985. Kathryn recently moved from Mesa, Ariz., to be closer to her
family, whom she greatly looked forward to spending time with. She was a
retired bank teller. She greatly enjoyed traveling, and her and her husband
lived on the Bahama Islands for a time during their retirement. She greatly
enjoyed her retirement years and sending cards to friends and family on their
special days. She also enjoyed needlepoint.
Survivors include a daughter,
Laverna and Donald Parrish of Burns; a son, Bill and Sandra Puckett of Oklahoma
City; a brother, Donald and Anne Browning of Aurora, Colo.; and sisters, Mary
Helm of Syracuse and Lois McPhail of Georgetown, Texas; eight grandchildren;
and 15 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by brothers, Clyde Browning, Francis Browning and James Browning; and
sisters, Carol Browning and Betty Conrad.
Services will be at a later
date.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens in Denver.
Memorial contributions may be
made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home in
Newton, which is in charge of arrangements.
