Corrine I. Needham
Corrine I. Needham, 88, of
North Newton, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 30, 2008) at Halstead Health and
Rehabilitation Center in Halstead. Corrine was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Pratt,
the daughter of Fred and Grace (Saathoff) Shore. They preceded her in death.
She had been a waitress at exclusive hotels, country clubs and resorts while
she had resided in Phoenix and Denver. Corrine was an animal lover, especially
cats, and she enjoyed her flower garden. She was an intelligent woman and
always was well informed about current events. Corrine was especially devoted
to her children's well being.
She had been married three
times, to Ted Hamm, Harry Achenbach and John Needham.
Survivors include her son,
Courtland Hamm of Newton; daughter, Claire Moulden and her husband, Ron, of
Westminster, Colo.; and grandchildren, Caren Hamm and Bill Steinberger.
She also was preceded in
death by a brother, Roy Shore, and a sister, Myrna Cockrum.
No services are planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in
Newton.
Memorial donations are
suggested to the Caring Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
