Roger Hinshaw
Obituary
Roger L. Hinshaw, 66, formerly of
Newton, passed away Tuesday (March 27, 2018) at his home after a
battle with cancer.
Roger was born November 19, 1951 in
Hutchinson, to Arthur E and Mamie (Cornett) Hinshaw. He graduated
from Hutchinson High School in 1969 and attended Hutchinson Community
College. On August 8, 1970, he was married to Peggy Peak in Newton.
Roger was retired from General Services Administration at the US
Courthouse in Wichita. After retiring, Roger and Peggy moved to Bella
Vista, Arkansas, where they have lived ever since. He loved leisurely
rides on his motorcycle, through the hills and forests of NW
Arkansas. Survivors are a daughter, Crystal D. Hinshaw, of West Fork,
Arkansas, a brother, Rex Hinshaw (Paula), of Jefferson City,
Missouri, a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Hinshaw of Sedalia, Missouri, a
mother-in-law, Dorothy Peak of Newton, and several nieces and nephews
and families. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers,
Carl Hinshaw and Richard J Hinshaw.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will
be at Highland Sacred Gardens, 3600 E 28th St., Sedalia, Missouri, at
11 a.m. April 10. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. April 12 at the
First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 801 N Main St,
Newton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Circle of Life
Hospice, 901 Jones Rd, Springdale, AR 72762.
