Pauline M. Scott
Pauline M. Scott, 86, of
Newton and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday (Sept. 24, 2008) at
Newton Medical Center. She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Conway, the daughter of
Dewey and Lottie (Rump) Slabach. They preceded her in death. On Jan. 17, 1944,
she was united in marriage to Myron W. Scott in Hutchinson. He preceded her in
death on March 28, 2004. Pauline was a self-employed beautician, working out of
her home. She was a high school and cosmetology school graduate.
She was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church in McPherson.
Survivors include a daughter,
Sharon Davis of Newton; two sisters, Marjorie Goertzen of Buhler and Hazel
Ekholm of Windom; five grandchildren, Scott Davis, Paul Pope, Diana Day,
Collette Birrell and Dee-Dee Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by a daughter, Peggy Scott Fortner; stepson, Jerry Scott; stepdaughter,
Janice Moore; brother, Kenny Slabach; and sister, Thelma Barcus.
Visitation will be from 1 to
4 p.m. Sunday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut in McPherson,
with family present from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral service will be at
10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in McPherson, with the Rev. Dale
Dumperth officiating.
Burial will be at McPherson
Cemetery.
