Emerson 'Tom' R. Scott
Emerson 'Tom' R. Scott, 67,
passed away Sunday (July 27, 2008) at his residence in Newton.
He was born Jan. 21, 1941, in
Osborne to Charles and Evelyn 'Jackie' (Thorp) Scott.
He worked many years for
Rhoades Construction.
He is survived by his mother,
Jackie Scott of Smith Center; sisters, Edith and Jack McClain and Edna and
Richard Verhage; and a brother, Nolan 'Pete' Scott; and children, Ella Kelly of
Hesston and Ann Scott, Michael Scott and Tina Eason, all of Newton.
He has eight grandchildren,
Kimberly McCallister, Kevin Regier, Donavon Scott, Travis Kelly, Terra Scott,
Garrett Kelly, Ashley Scott and Deston Eason; and six great-grandchildren,
Joseph, Sierra, Dylan, Ian, Patrick and Maddey.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Charles, and infant daughter, Eulalia.
Plans are being made to lay
him next to his father and infant daughter in Osborne, where the immediate
family will have a graveside service.
