Alma L. Pfautz
Alma L. Pfautz, 78, died
Friday (Aug. 1, 2008) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born April 7,
1930, to Rudolph J. and Mary Catherine (Meier) Fritsch at Durham. The preceded
her in death. She married Henry E. Pfautz on Aug. 9, 1952, in Durham. He
preceded her in death in 1962. She was a registered nurse and a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Hesston Civic Club. She was a longtime
volunteer for area blood drives and an avid coffee drinker. She is survived two
sons, Keith and wife Judy Pfautz of Hesston and Kent and wife Michelle Pfautz
of Hesston; a daughter, Karen Travis of Wichita; a brother, Harold Fritsch of
Wichita; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by her brother, Melvin Fritsch.
Service will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Canton with pastor Seth Meyer
officiating. Burial will be at the Hesston City Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Schowalter Villa Chapel with
the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial has been
established with the Hesston Public Library in care of Miller Funeral Home of
Hesston.
