Delmar D. Schrag
Delmar D. Schrag, 73, of
Newton, passed away Saturday (Aug. 9, 2008) at Wesley Medical Center in
Wichita.
He was born May 15, 1935, in
McPherson County to Jonas and Hulda (Kaufman) Schrag. They preceded him in
death.
On March 7, 1958, he married
Twilla Mae Schrag in Moundridge. She survives of the home.
He was an active member of
Newton Bible Church.
Delmar enjoyed toy tractors
and model trains. He greatly looked forward to spending time with his many
friends and loving family.
Other survivors include a
son, Keith Schrag of Newton; sister, Arlene and Carroll Zerger of Kingman; and
brothers, Jacob and Esther Schrag of McPherson, and Dennis and Pam Schrag of
Pittsburg, Calif.
He also was preceded him in
death by a sister, Marilyn Flickner, and two brothers, LaVerne Schrag and
Gilbert Schrag.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, with family receiving
friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Graveside service will be at
1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, followed by funeral
service at 2:30 p.m. at Newton Bible Church, with Pastor Don Myer of the church
officiating.
Memorial contributions may be
made to Newton Bible Church or Gideons International in care of the funeral
home.
