Esther Mae Schrag
Esther Mae Schrag, 79, passed
away today (August 14, 2008) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born on Dec. 22,
1928, in Moundridge to Daniel D. and Anna Zerger Schrag. A lifetime area
resident, she was a homemaker, an active member of Whitestone Mennonite Church
in Hesston and a graduate of Moundridge High School.
On Aug. 10, 1948, she married
Paul H. Schrag in Moundridge. He survives.
Other survivors include one
son, Allen (Mary) Schrag of Hesston; daughters, Mary (Ray) Hunsberger of
Goshen, Ind., Donna (Gary) Koehn of Hesston and Lois Wahl of Peoria, Ariz.; 11
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin Schrag of
Moundridge and Harold Schrag of McPherson; and sister, Ethel Juhnke of
Moundridge.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; two brothers, Orlin and Richard Schrag; and four sisters, Cora
Stucky, Alida Cummings, Martha Krehbiel and Ruth Wedel.
Friends may call from 4 to 8
p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Moundridge Funeral
Home in Moundridge.
Funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Saturday at Whitestone Mennonite Church in Hesston.
Burial will be in the
Eastlawn Cemetery in Hesston.
Memorial donations may be
given to the Parkinson Foundation in care of the funeral home.
