Obituary
Janice K. Koehn, 78, died Sunday (April
22, 2018) at the Newton Presbyterian Manor.
She was born on May 24, 1939, in
Newton. A lifelong Newton area resident, Janice attended local
schools. She married Wilber Koehn on Nov. 13, 1955, in Newton.
Janice had been a nurse's aide, having
worked at both Bethel Deaconess Hospital and Newton Medical Center.
She was a member of Grace Community Church, along with being an avid
bowler and volunteer at the American Red Cross and the Senior Patrol
of the Harvey County Sheriff's Office.
Survivors include her husband, Wilber;
sons: Brian, Alan and wife Pam, and Bob and wife Lee, all of Newton,
and Bill and wife Danielle of Marysville, Washington; daughter,
Shevette Koehn of Newton; sisters: Jean Pankratz of Denton, Texas,
Judy Kearns of North Newton and Cheryl Kersten and husband Jon of
Papillion, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, Evelyn and Arthur Dombrosky.
Graveside services and interment will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 28, 2018) at the Whitewater
Cemetery, rural Whitewater. Friends may call between 1 and 8 p.m.
Friday (April 27, 2018) at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, where the
family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established with
the American Red Cross. Contributions may be sent to Broadway
