Roy Urias
Roy Urias, 93, passed away
Saturday (Aug. 23, 2008) in Newton.
He was born March 8, 1915, in
Seguin, Texas, the son of Valeriano and Lidia (Ramirez) Urias.
He married Irene Aguirre on
Aug. 27, 1941, in Chicago. She passed away March 21, 2007, in Sedgwick.
Roy was a retired steel
worker. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had
resided in Newton since 2002. He enjoyed reading as a hobby and pastime.
Survivors include sons,
Richard, Roger, Albert and Gilbert Urias; daughters, Sandra (Urias) Cole,
Elissa (Urias) Garza and Carol (Urias) Rush; 27 grandchildren; and 51
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are being
conducted by the Michael Colletta & Son Funeral Home, 544 W. 31st St.,
Chicago, IL 60616.
