Joseph A.
Lefebvre Sr., 86, died Monday (June 30, 2008) at Halstead Health and
Rehabilitation in Halstead.
He was born
Nov. 1, 1921, in Woonsocket, R.I., to Joseph G. and Oliva (Masse) Lefebvre.
Both are deceased.
On Jan. 4,
1947, he married Mildred Patton at Yuma, Ariz. She survives of Halstead.
A resident
of Halstead since November and formerly of Hays, he was a retired custodian for
USD 489 Hays and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors
include his wife, Mildred Lefebvre of Halstead; sons, Joseph Lefebvre Jr. of
Tacoma, Wash., and Tony Lefebvre of Colwich; daughters, Kathy Haselhorst of
Hays and Becky Lefebvre of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren.
Cremation
has taken place, and inurnment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute at a
future date.
No memorials
have been established.
