Jerry L.
Fiedler, 67, died Monday (June 30, 2008) at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.
He was born
in Beatrice, Neb., the son of Olive (Gaede) and Fred Fiedler.
Jerry served
in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963 while spending time in Vietnam.
He enjoyed
collecting items, especially lamps.
Jerry was a
good family man. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends.
He is
survived by two sons, Warren D. Fiedler of Wichita and Rodney D. Fiedler and
wife, Cyndi, of Newton; daughter, Andrea Fiedler and Richard M. Gauthier of
Newton; three brothers, Durwood Fiedler of Newton, Ray Fiedler of Kingman and
Dennis Fiedler, Beatrice; five grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle and Brandon Fiedler
of Wichita, Marissa Gauthier of Newton and Lacie Fiedler of Newton.
Jerry was
preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Cox.
Visitation
with family present will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial
Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Mennonite Church in Newton.
Burial will
be at Missionary Cemetery in rural Elbing.
Memorials
can be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the Kidney Association in care of the
funeral home.
