'Bill' H. Jungles
William
'Bill' H. Jungles, 65, of Parsons, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 16, 2008)
at his home.
He was born
on Dec. 22, 1942, in Parsons, a son of John and Dorothy (Hellen) Jungles. He
grew up in rural Parsons and attended the St. Patrick High School and the
Labette County High School, graduating in 1960.
In 1962, he
began working for the Zimmer Corporation (Princess Homes) and moved with the
company in 1974 to Newton. He returned to Parsons in 1986 and began employment
at Grandview Products, where he was currently employed.
On May 15,
1965, he was united in marriage to Beverly Coysh at the former St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Parsons. She survives of the home.
He was a
member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and also a member of the Parsons
Golf Club. He enjoyed outdoor activities including golfing, snow skiing, and
working in the yard. In his younger days he enjoyed horseback riding and
participating in rodeos.
Other
survivors include his son, Jay Jungles and Kimber Roper of Bentonville, Ark.;
his mother, Dorothy Jungles of Parsons; brother, John Jungles Jr. and wife,
Debby, of Dennis; his sister, Shirley McClelland and husband, Jack, of
Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Michael Coysh of Oswego; sister-in-law, Brenda
Moore and her husband, Randy, of Dublin, Ohio; six nephews; and one niece.
He was
preceded in death by his father, John Jungles, and his sister, Anna Mae Saye.
The family
will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 112
N. 26th Street in Parsons.
Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Peggy Hillmon officiating.
Burial will
be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Altamont.
