Sandra Sue
Smith, 65, passed away Thursday (July 24, 2008) at Kansas Christian Home in
Newton.
She was born
Oct. 7, 1942, in Florence to John Frederick and Mary Elizabeth (Waner) Malek.
They preceded her in death.
Sandra was a
loving mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with
friends.
Survivors
include daughters, Valerie Smith (and Kelly Graber) of Maize and Vanessa (and
Bobby Sassi) of Pennsville, N.J.; brother, Jack Malek of Newton; sisters,
Marylou Dean and Shirley Lassley, both of Newton; two grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
Visitation
will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton,
with the Rev. James Mainzer of the church officiating.
Burial will
be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Newton.
Memorial
contributions may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral
home.
