Glenn Wesley Hull
Glenn Wesley Hull, 82, passed
away Thursday (June 12, 2008) at his home in Whitewater. He was born Jan. 14,
1926, in Scammon to Mary Alice McDermott and Ranner Hull. He attended school in
Leon and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Two years after returning
from the service, he was joined in marriage to Edith Mohler on June 25, 1954,
in Leon. In 1971, they made their home in Whitewater. A longtime farmer and
cattle feeder, he retired from Circle E Feedlot in Potwin in 1989.
Most days, you could find
Glenn trimming evergreen shrubs, tending rosebushes or scraping and painting
their home, unless he had gone fishing to catch the 'big one.'
In addition to his wife, he
is survived by a son, Darrell, and a daughter, Cheryl, both of California; son,
Virgil Hull of Potwin; daughter, Treva (Clint) Weyrauch of Towanda; son, Randy
Hull of Whitewater; grandchildren, Krista (Brady) Gragg, Lance (Mistie) Hull,
Wesley Hull, Ryan (Nola) Weyrauch, Brandy (John) Merrick and Brian Goldsmith;
great-grandchildren, Rachel, Calvin, Taylor, Shawn, Renee, Caleb and Caden.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; brothers, Loren and Bill; sister, Wilma; and two infant brothers
who died at birth.
Visitation will be from 6 to
8 p.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.
Funeral service will be at 10
a.m. Tuesday at the Federated Church in Whitewater, with Pastor David Griffis
officiating.
Interment will take place at
the Whitewater Cemetery immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to the
American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
