LEO S. UNRUH, 95
MOUNDRIDGE--Leo S. Unruh, 95, passed away Jan. 8, 2018 at Newton Medical Center, Newton. He was born on Aug. 7, 1922 in Harvey County, Kansas the son of Jacob J. and Lena Unruh Unruh. He was a farmer all of his life.
On April 14, 1946 he married Naomi Decker at Halstead. She passed away on June 25, 2000. He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert, his parents, one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his children, Lavern (Jewell) of Hartwell, Georgia; Harold (Ladeen) of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Merlin (Karen) of Halstead; a daughter-in-law, Violet Unruh of Murray, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren, five sisters, Johanna Toews of Louisville, Georgia, Frieda (Mrs. Art Koehn) of Moundridge, Zella Unruh of Halstead, LaJean (Mrs. Allen Becker) of Halstead, and Mae Unruh of Halstead.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, at Moundridge Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p. m., Thursday, at Garden View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Halstead. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge.
