JIMMIE DEAN 'JIM' HOLZRICHTER, 69
HUTCHINSON--Jimmie Dean 'Jim' Holzrichter, 69, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Hutchinson, the son of Henry F. and Helen M. (Kelly) Holzrichter. 
Jim graduated from Burrton High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern College in 1970, where he was the kicker on the only undefeated football team in the history of Southwestern. Jim worked for 39 years at Eaton Corp., retiring in 2011.
He officiated high school football and basketball for nearly 30 years and served as Commissioner of the Heart of America League for 10 years until retiring from officiating in 1996.
Jim was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and served as an usher. He was a member of the Beta Rho mu fraternity and an avid Kansas Jayhawks and New York Yankees fan.
On January 22, 1977, Jim married Jane A. Tennant in Burrton. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Lindsay Holzrichter (Steven Carpenter) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Kelli Zehr (Scott) of Burrton; son, Heath Holzrichter (Jaclyn) of Burrton; grandchildren, Cooper and Alexis Zehr, Sydney and Cody Holzrichter, Henry and Amelia Carpenter; sister, Judy Cottingham (Kent) of Cornwall, Pennsylvania; father-in-law, Ernest Tennant of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Patricia Lillard (Larry) and Linda Bass (Mel), all of Hutchinson; nieces, Brandy Kent and Mattie Lloyd; nephew, Dusty Lillard; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Holzrichter; mother-in-law, Bonnie Tennant; and brother-in-law, Jake Tennant. 
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, Hutchinson, with Rev. Michael L. McGuire officiating.
Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p. m. Sunday in the Common Ground room at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Beta Rho Mu Endowed Scholarship in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, hutchinson, KS 67501.
