Leah May Ross
SEDGWICK -- Leah May Ross, 69, died June 25, 2003, in White Pass, Alaska.
She was born April 15, 1934, to Everett Johnson and Mildred Lucille (McKibben) Vaughan in Jennings. They preceded her in death. She married Richard Ross Aug. 1, 1954, in Bucklin. He died June 25, 2003.
She was a member of Sedgwick United Methodist Church. She was a member of United Methodist Women and served as president of the board of directors of Court-Appointed Special Advocates.
Survivors include: a son, Charles Ross of Bartlett, Tenn., and George Ross of Mishawaka, Ind.; a daughter, Lynn Ross of Philadelphia; a nephew, Michael Cooper of Lawrence; a brother, Roger Dale Vaughan of Palmer Lake, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may sign the book from 2 to 8 p. m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 10 a. m. Saturday at R. L. Wright Elementary School in Sedgwick with the Revs. Kate Johnson Martin and Eldon Cox officiating.
burial will be in Valley Township Cemetery in rural Burrton.
