Obituary
Emery G. Seibel 96, died Wednesday
(June 27, 2018) at Asbury Park in Newton.
He was born April 12, 1922 in Hillsboro
to John and Nellie (Hintz) Seibel. On August 2, 1949, he married
Frances K. Brannan in Wichita. She preceded him in death on July 1,
2011.
Emery was a member of the First United
Methodist Church in Newton. He was self employed in construction
specializing in carpet and tile installation.
He enjoyed going to auctions and
tending his gardens. Emery had a special place in his heart for
farming. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends
and looked forward to their visits.
Emery is survived by his children: Dan
and Dana Seibel of Newton; Phil and Denise Seibel of Jasper, Gerogia;
Katy and Bob Schrag of Moundridge, and Becky and Doug Edson of
Newton. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents,
wife, daughter Mary Ellen and brother Ernie Seibel
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday
(July 2, 2018) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bev
Grimm presiding. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery of
Newton.
