Obituary

Freddie "Fred" Mosiman III passed away at Botkin Care & Rehabilitation Center on July 11, 2018, in Wellington after a short battle with cancer. He was 63.

Fred was born on Jan. 18, 1955, in Newton to his parents Freddie Jr. and Ruth Mosiman. He grew up outside of Peabody, where he helped out on the family farm. He graduated from Remington High School in 1973. After graduation, Fred entered into the Army, serving several years in Germany. After leaving the Army, Fred made Wichita his home. He worked for Custom Equipment for many years.

Fred was a kind and supportive brother, uncle and friend to many people. He enjoyed camping and fishing, throwing horseshoes and a good game of shuffleboard. His friends also loved a fish fry hosted by Fred. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed.

Fred is survived by his sisters, Goyia Riddiough of Wichita and Laurie (Gregg) Harris of Jefferson City, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Jr. and Ruth Mosiman; his sister, Norma Gritz; and brother, LeRoy Mosiman.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday (July 28, 2018) at Baker Funeral Home Wichita Chapel. All are welcome to celebrate Fred's life.
