Marilyn Elizabeth Riesen
Lundblade, 60, daughter of the late Karl and Elda (Funk) Riesen of Hillsboro,
died of cancer Thursday (May 15, 2008) at Mercy Hospital in Mustang.
She was a long-time employee
of Cox Communication as human resources business partner in Oklahoma City.
A memorial service will be at
2 p.m. Monday at Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City.
Pastor Larry Thompson of Wichita will officiate.
Marilyn was born Feb. 29,
1948, and attended Bruderthal and Suncrest grade schools, Hillsboro High School
and Bethel College. She grew up attending Bruderthal Mennonite Church and was
baptized on May 17, 1964, by the Rev. Walter Neufeld. She later attended
Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro, United Church of Christ in Newton,
Newton Four Square Gospel Church in Newton and The Bridge Assembly of God in
Mustang.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, stepfather Adney Stean and brothers Kenneth and Roland.
She is survived by her
husband Ed of Mustang; daughter Crystal and husband Ron Fite of Austin, Texas;
daughter Traci and husband Mark Moose of Denham Springs, La.; brother Arlen
Riesen and wife Pam of Hillsboro; sister, Jan Tingen and husband Dennis of
Salina; sister-in-law Elsie Riesen of Beatrice, Neb.; sister-in-law Sylvia
Riesen of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren; seven nephews; and two nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the
family requests memorial donations be made to your local American Cancer
Society.
