Louis C. 'Red' Moler
Louis C. 'Red' Moler, 81,
died Friday (May 16, 2008) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospital in Wichita.
He was the son of Sam and
Elsie (Plourd) Moler, born June 9, 1926, in Stockton.
He married Elizabeth Rollene
Beasley on May 25, 1951 in Garden City.
He was a veteran of the
United States Army. 'Red' was a Private First Class in the 77th Infantry
Division. He served as a Military Police with the Fifth Fighter Group in Japan.
He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
He retired from King
Construction of Hesston. He enjoyed woodworking, caring for his yard and
fishing with all his buddies.
He is survived by his sister,
Azilee Williams of Wakeeney, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; his wife, Rollene; and his one son, Robert 'Bobby' Moler.
Visitation will be from noon
to 5 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
Services will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Bell
presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice in care of the funeral home.
