Velma U. Wilson
Velma U. Wilson, 80, died
Wednesday (May 21, 2008) at the Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1928,
at Newton, to John and Mary Unruh Bafus.
She was a homemaker and
graduated from Newton High School in 1946. She belonged to the First Christian
Church in Hutchinson.
On Aug. 13, 1946, she married
Richard O. Wilson in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 13, 2006.
Survivors include sons, John
Wilson and Richard Wilson, both of Hutchinson; daughters, Pam Emmerich, Sherry
Nevius and Susie Belt, all of Hutchinson, Julie Cutting of Olathe, and Connie
Delg of Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by two brothers, Harry and John Bafus.
A private family graveside
service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, with the Rev. John
Warring presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the donor's choice.
