Roy B. "Bard"
Sanner, 100, died April 17, 2008, at Asbury Park Healthcare, Newton. He was
born Oct. 9, 1907, in Newton, the son of E.R. and Alma Bard Sanner.
In 1931, he married Nita June
Mathias. She preceded him in death. Survivors include: daughters, Shirley
Sanner, Shawnee Mission, and Sara Hancock, Groveland, Calif.; a companion,
Rosalind Hirsch, Newton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m.
Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. James W. Anderson
presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to
Harvest of Love, in care of the funeral home.
