John Ralph Hays
PEABODY - John Ralph Hays,
79, passed away Thursday (Feb. 28, 2008) at Legacy Park in Peabody.
He was born March 17, 1928,
in Columbus, Ga., to Leroy D. and Mildred Undeen (Wynn) Hays. They preceded him
in death.
He married Genevra Belle
Drake on Dec. 30, 1949, in Atlanta. They lived in Wichita for 47 years before moving
to Newton. She survives of Newton.
Other survivors include
daughters, Arvene Kilby and husband, Sheppard, of Bridgeton, N.J., and Rebecca
Threadgill and husband, Timothy, of Wichita; three grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be at
2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Westview Manor in care of Petersen Funeral Home,
which is in charge of arrangements.
