Mary L. Bowlin
CONWAY SPRINGS - Mary L.
Bowlin, 88, formerly of Newton and Towanda, passed away Monday (March 3, 2008).
She was a farm wife and
former school teacher. She lived and taught in the Towanda school system for
many years. She was a member of the Towanda Order of the Eastern Star and
served a term as Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her
brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Valeta Nelson of Clearwater; brother,
Melvin Nelson of Mulvane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Homer.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary in Clearwater.
Graveside service will be at
2 p.m. Thursday at Whitewater Cemetery in Whitewater.
In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Towanda United Methodist Church, 103 SW 40th St., Towanda,
KS 67144.
