Obituary
Laura Pearl Newton, 74, of Rogers,
Arkansas, passed away on March 29, 2018.
Laura was a devout mother and
grandmother, loving her children and grandchildren more than life
itself.
Born July 24, 1943, in Gainesville,
Texas, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Katherine Jackson
(Katherine Tucker).
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy
Lee Newton; daughter, Nancy Ruth Newton; son, Jimmy "Dewayne"
Newton and his wife, Sandy; five grandchildren: Michael Newton,
Jennifer Warren, Ashley Eskue, Justin Newton and Courtney Newton;
four great-grandchildren: Hunter Newton, Carson Newton, Parker Newton
and Austin Newton; brother, James Jackson; and sister, Susie Larkins.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Walter Jackson and Katherine Jackson Tucker; brothers,
Johnnie Jackson and Bobby Ray Jackson; sisters, Betty Ruth Jackson
and Lou Jean Gilmore; and grandchild, Brandy Eskue.
Memorial services celebrating Laura's
life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (July 28, 2018) at The
Church of God of the Firstborn, 125 E. 10th St., Newton. Anyone who
would like to come and pay last respects, speak a few words of her
life and visit with mom's family and friends is welcome to attend.
Final resting place will be The Church
of God of the Firstborn Cemetery in Newton (intersection of SW 24th
Street and Hoover Road).
